Model of salt lump as made at Winsford, Cheshire

height: 80mm

Matching Arms

Additional Notes

This model is identical in shape to the Cheshire Salt Block. It is found both glazed and unglazed, and also in the form of a salt shaker (i.e. with small holes in the top for the salt to come out of). In this last form it also bears the word “Salt” in Gothic script above the coat of arms. All three forms carry a coat of arms, which is invariably the matching arms.
