Additional Notes

The inscription is found in Gothic script round the inside of the bowl. The model itself faithfully reproduces the damaged condition of the font. It is usually found bearing matching arms because the model was only available from the Stratford on Avon agent up until around 1929. In addition to the white unglazed form shown in the photograph, the model can be found in brown unglazed and in white glazed. However, the white glazed form is only known bearing the arms of Blackpool and is thought to have been produced especially for the Blackpool agent.
