Additional Notes

The large size comes in 3 pieces, the crosses being fixed into the base with cork plugs. It is found both brown unglazed and white unglazed, and often does not carry the full inscription. The small size is in one piece and is only found brown unglazed. It usually carries the full inscription on the underside of the base. All versions are impressed ‘Sandbach’ on the front of the base, and no version carries a coat of arms.
