Model of leather bottle found on battlefield of Newbury, 1644. Now in Museum.

Dimensions

height: 60mm and 115mm

Matching Arms

Burgus Newberie

Additional Notes

The small size sometimes turns up with two coats of arms, the second coat on matching models being quite often the arms of Jack of Newbury. The large size usually bears two coats of arms. Originally this large size was produced with a separate stopper, which increases its height to 125mm, but this practice was apparently discontinued during the model’s production life and later copies have no stopper.
