Additional Notes

This model was first listed in the “War Edition” of The Goss Record which indicated it as being specific to the Hinckley agent. The arms of Market Bosworth, which according to the 8th edition of The Goss Record were available from the agent in Ashby de la Zouch, were not listed as matching but must surely be considered as such, containing as they do the specific reference to the Battle of Bosworth Field. (Bosworth Field in fact lies midway between Hinckley and Market Bosworth.) In addition to the inscription above, which appears on the base, the model carries the original Latin version of the translated inscription on the inside face as can be seen in the photograph.
